First edition of an explanation in Latin, French and Dutch and colour printed depiction of the upper layer of the brain of an unborn child, originally preserved and drawn by the Dutch anatomist Fredrik Ruysch and here colour printed by Jan Ladmiral. One of the earliest applications of colour printing and among the first colour printed anatomical illustrations.
